It's easy to mock folks' names or make up acronyms.
There is no indication that either of those people will be running for any office. It will be far more difficult for the left to come up with good arguments against the anger over spending, which is presently the tea party movement's focus - not fear, not confusion, and not hatred. If the TPM do become a third party, my guess is that it will have much more impact than the third party of 1996. The TPM are not the wild-eyed haters that some folks make them out to be. They are concerned citizens of all sorts who want the gov't to use more common sense in spending. They want elected representatives to keep their promises. They aren't haters, they are people who love America and want to see it get well.

Nikki,

There is much that can be said about Beck and Palin and I am sure Fr. David will be posting about their politics and their platform soon. If they do end up being the Republican nomination, then I am certain the Dems could run a live version of their mascot and win again them. If they form a true blue party out of the Tea Party, then I see a repeat of the 1996 election which cost Bob Dole the win.

Thanks for your comment though.

ROFL - if mocking their initials or some made-up acronym are all you can come up with, the dems would come up very short of a cogent argument against them. Lucky for the dems, neither has been nominated since the tea party is not a party, per se.

This is a fine article, and raises good questions about the validity of any sexual transaction. It seems to be a truism, in the minds of most men, that "you pay for it one way or another". This attitude is even prevalent within marriage, on the part of either party or both. Many men marry for the convenience of having a convenient partner available, as it were, by law. Many women marry to trade sexual availability for financial security.

Perhaps the difference between that sort of a marriage and prostitution is the protection afforded by the pimp - compare to the "management" mentioned in your discussion of "customer satisfaction".

Stevie Rittenberg is a former Navy psychoanalyst who professionally pathologized pacifists during SE Asia conflict and in a thought piece at American "Thinker" denouncing wordsmiths. He is credentialed.

Stevie talked playground roundball and hypothesized two teams: one unified and committed to winning, the other stuck with the black guy who must try to win all on his own because his team quits on him just to let the other side win. Stevie pretends this happens to Jews too and proposes only a Catholic drunk, brawling Irishman can save Stevie Rittenberg from having to win his own fight (or ballgame.) Stevie hates quitters so he calls conscientious objectors PSYCHO
--- with _authority_.

Fifty-first fifty of the states of mind;
Judged wrong for thinking of the other kind.

Only WashPost and the Boston papers covered Winter Soldiers 2008 among big media.

[...] Left of Calvary wrote an interesting post today on Essays expose authors, not ObamaHere’s a quick excerpt I was concerned when I saw an online advertisement for Barack Obama Exposed! while surfing the ’Net recently. After all, if a scurrilous, anonymous email that couldn’t even distinguish between the Illinois senator and a lawmaker from Minnesota could cause problems for the campaign, how much damage could be inflicted by a recognizable repository of conservative thought? Not to worry. This compilation of 16 essays penned by contributors to Human Events contains no revelations about sexual predil [...]
